For children of 11 to 12 years of age, selecting a violin of 3/4 size would be the most wisest decision as the children of this age group happen to be quite grown up and can easily handle an arm length of 22 to 23.5 inches. For all violinists above 12 years of age, a 4/4 or full sized instrument can prove to the best selection. Now, that you know the different sizes of violin available in the market, it would be very easy for you to pick up the most appropriate one for your purpose.
