A review of the new 2015 Ford Mustang credits the motor with all new suspension, and a super performance pack that raises the bar for more efficient and effective braking and handling. In fact, the Ford Motor Company states how independent front and rear suspension platforms are both lighter and stronger in its 2015 model Mustangs. The performance packs include the Mustang convertible, GT fastback and EcoBoost fastback models.

2015 Ford Mustang features new suspension
Another aspect of Ford boosting its Mustang performance pack is linked to a trend in 50 years of Mustang innovations that have made this car legend in the U.S. and overseas. For instance, the new 2015 models featured all the great Ford Mustang handling features that produce both a top quality ride but dynamic world class vehicle performance as well. In fact, the new model has been dubbed “an agile Ford Mustang” that has an all-new suspension and performance package that literally raises the bar for vehicle braking and handling.

Ford engineers proud of new design
According to Tom Barnes the Mustang’s vehicle engineering manager, “A ...
... car needs a solid platform where the suspension mounts don’t move relative to one another.” Barnes also explained how the structure of the new motor can resist “twisting,” with “28 percent more torsional stiffness” for both the Mustang fastback model, and an impressive “15 percent” improvement for the Mustang convertible.

The new model features various high tech materials and design features that include:
-New laser welding methods with high strength steels and other advanced tech materials including hydroforming, and super light aluminum for the Mustang’s front fenders and hood so as to improve the vehicles overall weight balance while limiting body mass.
-More design improvements that are aimed at producing “significant weight savings,” while helping to offset new Mustang performance enhancing offerings that include an independent rear suspension, more powerful braking and a lighter overall vehicle for improved fuel savings.
-The new 2015 Mustang features high-tech design aimed at exceeding the government’s new crash safety standards. For example, the vehicle features new safety seats and a hollow rear stabilizer that is based on “intelligent design” methods to not only keep the Mustang’s weight down, but to make the vehicle overall safer.
-With a base curb weight of just 3,524 pounds for the new 2015 Mustang EcoBoost fastback, Ford engineers say this means an increase in range from six pounds to 87 pounds for both the GT fastbacks and V6 models.
-The EcoBoost fastback model also boasts 52 percent of its weight over the axle at the front of the car, and an impressive 48 percent on the real axle. This translates to a more productive mass on the Mustang’s front wheels, while more overall horsepower.

In general, the new 2015 model Mustangs boast a new suspension that is designed for true maximum performance.

Mustang performance is job No. 1 at Ford Motors
The Mustang’s proud 50 year history as one of America’s favorite cars is one good reason why Ford has devoted so much time and effort to improve its new 2015 model Mustangs, say vehicle designers commenting online about why the 2015 models are being credited with super braking, handling and great Mustang performance “right out of the box." For example, the new 2015 model’s performance pack includes: more cooling performance and a thicker rear sway bar for better handling. Other 2015 Mustang upgrades features offer electric power-assisted steering and electronic stability control; along with specially designed front brakes in both the EcoBoost and Mustang GT models.

Overall, the new 2015 Ford Mustang is a great looking and performing vehicle with a new suspension and handling system that is second to none on the roadways today.
