A Need For Industrial Sweepers In Southern Ca: America’s Most Polluted

Forbes pegged 6 out of its 10 most polluted cities in California, many of which are concentrated in the central and southern part of the state. This alarming statistics is a rallying call for the fight against filth, where efficient equipment like industrial sweepers in Southern CA roll in the front lines, run by municipal governments and private corporations seeking to make their cities cleaner in whatever way they can. So, how bad is the problem, exactly?

Problems with Pollution

Take Fresno, California for instance, the number one, if not among the top chosen places in “the most polluted cities” lists you can find online. Although it doesn’t have the highest amount of air pollutants on average (which is already saying something), Fresno can have the worst concentration on bad days, which might explain the occurrence of a type of cardiovascular disease related to air pollution among the populace.

Common Grounds

Extreme as the case of Fresno might be, the fact remains that overwhelming pollution—whether it’s present in the air, water, or soil—is quite rampant in urbanized cities and metropolitan areas. Even in the opposite side of the country, pollutants and permeating wastes brought about by human activities are quite prevalent in cities like New York and Massachusetts—an ever-growing problem that local governments have always sought to curb.

The Cavalry

One of the machines with a major role in the fight against pollution today are street sweepers. While many people might take its function for granted, a trusty mechanical parking lot sweeper in Los Angeles can eliminate a lot of the dirt and debris that might only end up in storm drains, and eventually pollute natural waterways like lakes and riverbeds. Sweepers can either be equipped with brushing or vacuum tools.

Your Part in the Fight

Aside from investing in quality cleaning equipment, what else can a business owner or municipal official do in the fight against pollution? Well, there are many things that every citizen can do, such as practicing green lifestyle and doing away with bad habits that might have an adverse effect to the overall health of Mother Nature.

Don’t forget that you always have a part to play in minimizing the pollution in your city—no effort is too small. Check out more of the most polluted American cities here forbes.com/pictures/mef45ilmk/americas-dirtiest-cities/.
