Iphone 3gs Battery Specific Tips For Longer Life
Total Articles: 21
Battery life can be considered the core of any device especially today when most devices are hard wired to do a lot of things, powerful things. However, as noted by most experts, gadgets such as smart phones and tablets have relatively short battery life as a result of the powerful operations that it is capable of performing.
Battery life issues have been a constant threat to the smart phone industry, but with promises from the company, people tend to stick around. The same was the case for the iPhone 3Gs battery. It had a short life, longer compared to what was the norm that time. In addition, it was THE installment in Apple’s iPhone series that was fondly remembered and it could have been what changed the landscape of the smart phone industry.
So, if you still have an iPhone 3G, most probably you are one of the practical ones and you might also want to know how to at least squeeze out additional juice from its battery making it last a little bit longer in the day.
Like usual, this is the part where tips are usually handed out, and there have been common denominators among the many posts about this issue. Things like lowering the screen’s brightness at a level that you are most comfortable with, turning off the applications that you have running in the background if you are not using it especially Facebook, and turning off the internet connection when you are out to a place where there is none – just to name a few.
However, there are other things which you do not commonly find and are specific for the iPhone 3GS battery.
One good example of these is switching between 3G and EDGE when necessary. Turn your 3G settings off when you are using the internet for smaller operations such as going to social networking sites. Only when your use of the internet is not petty will you turn on 3G.
If you are a gamer on your device, which you might probably are considering the amount of applications available today, you should remember to turn vibrate off. This is a good way to extend the battery’s life because vibrating the phone requires special components inside to work, thus draining the battery in the process.
In addition, and this is a practical tip, as much as possible, do not buy applications or download anything on your portable gadget. Instead, if you are near a computer, buy it there and just sync it with your device. It cuts down your device’s usage time since you really have to do is transfer the application to your device which takes lesser time than having to download it, not to mention the components that needs to work to make the download possible.
Of course, at the end of the day, the little usual tips can also help and thus, should be remembered.
Saving a powerful device’s battery such as the iPhone 3GS battery can be left to luck. However, with so much that you can do, why pass on what you control?
