An alloy Ferro aluminium is an alloy, which is formed due to combining the iron and aluminium in a perfect quantity. This alloy is primarily used as a de-oxidation agent for steel, as well as moulding agent for scrap copper and carbon steel. When Ferro alluminium alloy is melted and poured into the moulds containing scrap then it will become fluid and flow into the interstices between spatially arranged pieces of scraps. This alloy is used as additive of the production process of amorphous metals to get impart of several desirable properties. The best and one of the important benefits of adding alloy is to increase the new alloys sensitivity to heat. If we added more Ferro aluminium then the new alloy has low melting point and high degree of combustibility would get.
The large portion of Ferro aluminium supply is manufactured in the countries where electric power is cheap and plentiful. Those countries are Australia, china, Russia, USA and Canada. The most of all aluminium is produced from the synthetic cryolite and from the bauxite and it is then transformed into Al2O3 through electrolysis or Bayer process. Then this aluminum oxide is mixed with the iron oxide. In addition, after purified it is package as is. This alloy is comes in several grades and the according to the content Ferro aluminium is available in the market in 30% to 70% aluminium pure content. It is comes in various forms like powder, granules or pieces.
Ferro silico manganese is an alloy, which has the high contents of silicon and manganese. It is mainly formed by heating of the oxides of silicon oxides, iron oxides and manganese oxides with carbon in the blast furnace. This is undergoing thermal decomposition reactions. This is mainly used as the de-oxidizer and an alloying element in steel. The standard grade Ferro silico manganese is contains 14 to 16% of silicon, 65 to 68% of manganese and 2% of carbon. In the low carbon grade, the carbon content is 0.05 to 0.10%. So many companies are providing the Ferro silico manganese produced by carbothermic reduction of oxides raw materials in the submerged arc furnaces. This produced alloy is mainly consumed by the steel industry. The manganese is not only act as a deoxidizer but also they are used to increase the toughness, hardness and Strength. The average consumption of the manganese per unit ton is approximately 7.5 kgs. Deoxidization with Ferro silico manganese is mainly cleaner steel and it is used in steel making in electric arc furnaces and in induction furnaces.
Without the alloy contents it is not possible to make steel. The high quality steel is produced from the additive of the Ferro Silico Manganese, where manganese is helps to increase the strength of the steel. In addition, if the iron oxide is mixed with the aliminium oxides then it will form the Ferro alluminium which is a master alloy. Without this master alloy, it is not possible to manufacture steel in the steel production plant.
