Julie Jacko is a well known lecturer of Public Health university of Minnesota and an associate of The Institute of health informatics for research, outreach and teaching work. This expands the scope of opportunities in the university for collaboration and coordination. Dr. Julie Jacko is engaged in health informatics and it is beneficial for the future of the patients. She says that by proper use and sharing of the health information of the patient, it helps the providers to handle the patient care more effectively. She is an expert in studying human behavior and elements such as healthcare delivery.
Julie Jacko is very well familiar with the prominences of health care and is dedicated for excellence. Many also believe that she has gained mastery over the research and preparation skills within the nursing school. The National School Foundation Presidential Early Career Award for scientists and engineers has witnessed only 20 recipients including Julie Jacko. She has done intensive research in development of engineering models designed to measure human performance that can be helpful in designing of the real-world systems.
She targets to employ her research skills for the development of health profession, life science, public health and patient care. She collected funds for the research and is supported by Microsoft Corporation, Intel Corporation and National Science Foundation and NASA. She did her research on psychological processes on complex computer systems. The final objective of her research is to blend empirical results with advancement of engineering models of human performance.
She is the author and co-author of several journals, publications and articles. She has also combinedly worked with the author of highest article of the International Journal of Medical Informatics in 2005. She is a respected individual in the world of human-computer interaction and is invited as a chairperson for many conferences and programs relevant to the field.
She is highly skilled in design, evaluation of various systems including human-device interaction and implementation. She is truly interested in application of information and engineering of the information technology in health sciences. She served the research industry for almost 17 years and aims to gain expertise in public health, life sciences and patient care.
She has written dozens of books, articles and journals and her articles are the highest rated in International Journal of Medical Informatics in 2005. As a professor, she understands the importance of education and its process. She has helped many students with their careers and helped them to achieve their goals in life.
Julie Jacko did her B.S., M.S., and PH.D. in industrial engineering from the Purdue University and has achieved many awards for her knowledge and skills. She also worked as an associate professor of Industrial & systems engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology.
