It seems like the news headlines are always talking about new sources of green and renewable energy. When people hear about these new sources of energy, they get excited. People love the idea of being able to provide energy for their home, while at the same time saving money. However, with all of the information that is being provided about green energy, often times, people start to ask questions. Many may wonder if solar energy and solar paneling with solar panel mounting frames is actually right for them. Will it work in their business? Will it provide enough power for their home?

In order to answer that question, a person must look at the area where they live. They can ask themselves, is there enough direct sunlight in the area that would justify solar panel and solar panel mounting frames use? According to experts, about half of the United States receives moderate sunlight. These are places like the Northwest and the Northeast. Some could argue that because of only having moderate direct sunlight exposure throughout the year, these places are not good for solar panels. However, new solar panel technology has made it possible so that even individuals who live in areas that are predominantly cloudy still get enough sunlight to make installing solar panels worth it.

Other parts of the United States, such as California, Texas and Florida are perfectly located for solar panel mounting solutions. These states get direct sunlight in abundance. Throughout the year there are only a small portion of days that are cloudy. Additionally, since these states are closer to the south, they are closer to the equator. This means that these areas receive higher levels of sunlight. Other places in the United States, such as Alaska, which have relatively poor sunlight, are not the best places to install solar paneling. However, this does not mean that in Alaska there is no way to get renewable energy.

In Alaska wind is abundant. So for people who live in this area, wind power is going to be their best bet. Most people are accustomed to seeing solar panels put on the roof of the home. The reason for this decision is because the roofs of most houses are high enough so that there is nothing that is going to cause long-term shading and obstruction of the sun. However, a solar panel mounting frame can also be installed. All that a homeowner needs to do is to make sure that there is a particular area on the ground that has direct access to the sun all day long and is never covered by shade.
