It is a degree awarded to students after completion of study duration of 8 semesters, or four years worth modules that relate to a specific engineering branch. The education criterion for eligibility is a pass in the school level education of 10+2 years. The first two semesters of the first year of education covers topics that are common for all branches of engineering. The diversion towards specialization happens from the second year. The common graduation criterion for students in India is the Marks System. Credit System of grading students is yet to be popular in this part of the world.
