Who doesn't know Google? Google is known to all. The name Google has not only grabbed the popularity on local levels, but on the global front too. Google started its journey as an organization which owned a search engine. Google grabbed good quality of fame through its search engine; there hardly will be any question which will be unanswered by Google. Then they expanded their wings to spread on social sites, Smart phones, application services and so. Today, Google is named as one roof for several solutions. After gaining good success on their Google Nexus Smart phone, they are now moving toward wearable technology.
Its predicted that year 2015 will have more wearable technology on board. The year 2014 started with touch of wearable technology by Samsung, Motorola and now Google. This is good news for technology enthusiasts all across the globe.

What is Google Glass Apps Development?

Well, let us start with what is Google Glass? It is wearable sort of computer with OHMD (optical head-mounted display). This device displays information like a Smart phone. You can communicate and operate loads of stuff through this Google glass. Different sort of applications can be executed on this Google Glass. A different method is used for engaging in Google Glass Apps Development as is used for other form of web or app development.

Many developers believed that this sort of project can never be done on real platform or launched asa real product. But Google team made this thing happen. This wearable technology is known as ‘Google Glassware’. The Google Mirror APi allows developers to bring their part of creativity on blocks and allow using this application in the way users need.

So what exactly is Google Glasses Application Development? Application is nothing but a software. Some applications are built to run on Smart phones, while others on desktops or on wearable technology. The method used for this development might vary, but is built from same root language.

Google Glasses Application Development can be built through several languages or methods like:

Python and Java

These are two languages on which Google develops their applications for Google glassware. The applications are built in eclipse and then integrated with developer environment (IDE). The developer needs to create OAuth (authentication) verification and join their Google account to their wearable glasses. Then, through these Google’s wearable glasses, you can access API and SDK.

This is not only essential with Java development, but also with Python. All you will need will be Eclipse or Maven.

User Interaction

Users with Google Glass can interact on timeline through applications. Users can also access cards, display information of search and so on. Glassware can also be accessed from cloud.

Cards+ Timeline

This is a very primary method used for building applications and developing functionality for Glass, for users to interact with. What is Timeline? Timeline can be videos, text, images or just HTML. More importantly, anything you create on web, can be created on timeline card also on Google Glass. By adding the capabilities of Glass, we can get a clear cut picture of what exactly we want on Glassware. There are few primary hardware that need to be checked before proceeding with Glassware app implementation such as, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5-plus megapixel camera, sufficient memory storage to sync with storage cloud and so.
The Glassware technology will surely be touching new heights in coming years.
