The NTSE is a scholarship program conducted in India that selects and nurtures intelligent students of class 10. The NTSE Examination Pattern
The exam consists of two sections; MAT or Mental Ability Test and SAT or Scholastic Aptitude Test. The SAT paper includes a Language test of 50 marks, Mathematics carrying 30 marks and Social Science and General Science of 35 marks each. Multiple Choice questions are asked. However, there is 15% reservation for scheduled castes and 7.5% for scheduled tribes. Additionally, 3% is reserved for students who are physically challenged. A specific quota is allotted for each State and Union Territory. However, after the second level of exam, there is no quota for the States and UTs. Indian students who are studying overseas can also appear for the exams.
