1. Termites are generally present in great numbers in the buildings where the moisture level is high. Moisture attracts the termites. So keep your house away from moisture. Repair the leak in the building structure, water pipes and the plumbing facility. Get rid from standing water on the roof and near plants. Seal every point around the water and utility lines or pipes. Keep all the vents open and clear.

2. Remove the termite food sources. Firewood, lumber, paper and card boxes attract the termites and provide food sources to them. Never store the firewood, lumber, paper or other wood debris against the foundation base or inside crawl space area. Firewood should never be stacked near the building structure. Remove the trash deposits from the surroundings. Always check the decks and wooden fences to prevent from the damage.

3. Reduce the humidity in crawl space. All the vents should be kept free from the leaves, dirt’s and should be cleared from all the vegetation materials.

4. Seal all the cracks, wedges and holes in order keep the termites
away from your house. Checks all the vents properly time to time. Create sand barriers to keep out subterranean termites as they cannot make tunnels through sand.
