By Expert Author: Lakshmi

The Royal Kanjeevaram Sarees also named as Kanchipuram sarees have their origin in Kanchi, Tamil Nadu, India. Kanchipuram saris are protected by a Geographical Indication label, certifying their origin. Meticulously executed, these unique traditional offerings have ‘wowed’ even the contemporary audience of today.

Beauty varies according to the eyes of the beholder. What may seem beautiful to one person may not be so to the other. But Sarees are universally recognized winsome attire and women’s heartthrobs. So for the Perfect weddings, Royal Kanjeevaram Pattu Sarees are the perfect companions.

Wedding ceremony is the most important occasion to every family that tells of love, partnership, passion and tenacity. A good marriage is one which avows innovation and acclimation over a brief passage of time. Marriage is more than just the entanglement of two hearts; it is the entwining of two lives, forever.

Just as Woman is the symbol of beauty and love, Kanchipuram is famous for its traditional “Kanchi pattu”. Kanjeevaram Pattu Saree is known as Queen of Sarees. These Sarees are especially made by weavers from Kanchipuram for weddings. These are woven by handlooms.

The Kanchipuram sari is distinguished by its wide contrast borders. These Sarees are made in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, made with wider borders, heavy silk and golden adornments. Particularly, we observe Royal Kanjeevaram Pattu Sarees in weddings, grand parties and other festivals.

The working style of kanjeevaram saree is totally different. To weave a kanchipuram saree, three devices are used i.e., shuttles. While the weaver works on the right side, his assistant works on the left side shuttle. Kanchipuram sarees will have wider borders, the design and the border are quite different from the body of the saree. We may have a saree in different shades on the body, pallu, and border.

If pallu has to be woven in different shades, then it is first separately woven and then deliciously joined to the saree. Here the body and pallu meets at one place and that place is covered by a zigzag line.

Kanchipuram sarees are woven with different patterns like flowers, mangoes, moons, suns, lions, leaves, birds like parrots, butterflies, peacocks and others. Multiple color combinations and exquisite designs are used in kanchipuram sarees that looks great on occasions.

Kanjeevaram Pattus like Samudrika pattu, parampara pattu, vasundhara pattu, vastrakala pattu, mayuri menpattu and madisar pattu are best suitable costumes for weddings and every woman looks great in these sarees.

New arrivals like Super net patch work sarees, kanchipuram silks, kanchipuram traditional, baluchari pure silk, paithani silk, designer and designer boutique collections are apt for the grand weddings and corporate events.
