There are so many new oral anti-fungal drugs are available like Terbinafine, Itraconazole have transformed the complete treatment for toenail fungus. These drugs are administered for 3 months. Itraconazole is prescribed in pulse doses which mean that it is administered one week in a month for 3 months.
The side effects of these oral antifungal drugs are quite a few with little disagreements like liver diseases and congestive cardiac failure. Itraconazole should be avoided to be taken along with antibiotics and asthma drugs as it interacts with them and cause serious problems.
There are several topical solutions available that comprise of several different chemicals that have anti-fungal properties. You just need to put them on your nail on a regular basis.
