Clarinex is an antihistamine which to treat the symptoms of allergic conditions (itchy/watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, hives). Also this medicine is used to treat skin hives itching in patients with chronic skin reactions.
How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. Follow the directions on your prescription label. You may take this medicine with food or on an empty stomach. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take it more often than directed.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed. This medicine has been used in children as young as 12 years.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

There are some potential side effects that can occur when using this drug to treat your allergies, they include:

Clarinex is used for :

This drug is an antihistamine. It works by blocking the action of histamine, which reduces the symptoms of an allergic reaction.
Do not use Clarinex :
If you are allergic to any ingredient in clarinex or to loratadine contact your doctor or healthcare provider right away if any of these apply to you.
If you are pregnant , planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
If you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
If you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
If you have had a severe allergic reaction to loratadine
If you have kidney or liver problems
