Getting a Security Class D License Online (Unarmed) is one of the special conditions prescribed by law in Florida State of US. In Florida the regulation to issue such a license is overseen by The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing. Conditions as stated above are to be fulfilled to apply for the Class D license.

On getting into the job after receiving the license, the licensee is eligible to perform the job of security guards or security officers on unarmed duty posts only. To take up armed guard position class G license (armed) is to be obtained, but to apply for Class G license, one should hold Class D license already.

40 hours of security training is to be successfully completed before applying for the license. This training is given by many training centers and it is easy to locate a cheap and the best one online is quite easy. This training is given in two spells with an initial training for 24 hours and remaining part can be taken later, because the application for license is acceptable on completion of the first spell of 24 hours. Fee for the training ranges from $50 to $120.

Now the application can be submitted to the nearest branch of Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Submit the copy of proof of training completed paper, a passport-size photo, a fingerprint card.

Pay $ 45 license fee and $42 for fingerprint processing fee to the Department.

Complete the second spell of 16 hours training within the stipulated time of 180 days to the date of submission of the application for license.

Additional fee is applicable for this part of the training.

There is another option offered by some other training centers to complete the 40 hours of training in stretch for a fee of $120. It is also feasible to undergo training on payment of $375 to get a package of Security Class D License Online (Unarmed) and Security Guard Class G Licenses (Armed) together. Where as if separate training for both classes of license costs $395. It is better to avail a discount of $20 on your training expense.

On completion of the above procedures the license will be delivered to the applicant within 80 to 90 days from the date of application.
