Total Articles: 14
In today's world, it is impossible to find a wardrobe with no t-shirts. T-shirts have become a staple piece of clothing. They are usually made from cotton or any other materials as per the demands of the customers. They are extremely comfortable to wear all day long and are easy to care for. Naturally, as the demand for t-shirts is increasing, manufacturers and designers are trying their best to present a wider variety of t-shirts in terms of colour, size, fit and style. Also, the necklines of t-shirts are not just boring crew neck; there are several more choices of necklines available today. Some of the most widely popular necklines are:
V Necks t shirt:
This neckline design is believed to have originated from the Middle East. It is formed when two diagonal lines running down the shoulders meet at the chest creating a characteristic shape resembling the English alphabet V. The depth of the V so formed, can vary from demure to plunging styles as desired by the wearer.
Scoop Neck tee:
Scoop neck has a U shape, which hangs around the shoulders. It is a little wider than a crew neck and, may go as low as a V neck. This neck is ideal for showing off those ripped muscles and even for showing off the layering.
Square Neck t shirt:
This flat neckline with two corners is just perfect for drawing attention to the arms and the chest region. Also, there is a slot neckline, in which the edges are closer to each other, such that they form a narrow slot. This neckline is ideal to be used as gym wear or even undershirts.
Round Neck tee:
This is by far the most commonly used neckline in which the neckline sits right at the base of the wearer's neck. Though, some people feel that it is tight and restrictive; but in certain situations when the adorer doesn't wish to reveal much, this type of neckline is preferred. The neckline is ideal for working out in gym or for engaging in any other physical activity like basketball, football etc.
Halter neck t shirts :
Halter necks are highly popular among women styles; it is a modified version of a V-neck or scoopy U neck, embellished with straps. The straps usually converge around at the nape of the neck of the adorer. The design offers minimal coverage and maximum comfort. Thus, it is an ideal beach wear neckline.
Keyhole Neck tee:
This is a slightly modified version of the halter neckline. The only difference being that in a halter neck the straps connect around the nape of the neck, while in a keyhole neck, the diagonal lines meet right in front of the neck, forming a small pinch, just like a keyhole. The keyhole is usually at the centre, below the collar but can be placed anywhere as desired by the wearer.
It is an alternative of V shaped neckline. In a surplice neckline, the two diagonal lines meet and overlap one over the other Thus, forming a neckline similar to a bathrobe.
