Tip 1: Do not take the matter to your own hands.
Your Aeron chair costs $749 to $949 (SRP) for the basic and highly adjustable types. This amount is considered a hefty sum especially for office chairs. Thus, it is best to take care of your investment. This can be done by not repairing your Aeron chair by yourself or asking someone else to do it for you. Doing so, will most likely result to more damage or losses on your part.

Tip 2: Take note of the warranty.
Don't be like other consumers who go around looking for the perfect office chair with extensive warranty coverage, only to forget about it completely once the said chair has been purchased and eventually installed. In the end, they end up spending more and losing more just because they forgot about the free service and replacement of parts provided by Herman Miller, Inc. and opted to pay someone to fix their chair or worse, attempted to do it themselves.

Tip 3: Bring your defective or damaged chair to an authorized dealer immediately.
Once your Aeron chair is damaged, it is best to bring it to the Herman Miller, Inc. dealer nearest you. It is not advisable to continue using the chair especially if the problem lies with the structural components and operating mechanisms since doing so may result to a domino effect wherein those parts that were originally in top shape become defective due to failure to have the defective part repaired or replaced.

Tip 4: Be patient.
Give a reasonable time allotment for the company to fix your Aeron chair. Do not expect to have your Aeron chair back in 5 minutes or so.
