Wear Bamboo Clothing To Keep You Cooler

By Expert Author: bamboo clothing, cowboy boots, cowboy hats

Bamboo clothing has one big advantage over many other types and that is the antibacterial properties it possesses. The fibre wicks moisture away from your body so you remain cool and comfortable and no bacteria can cause an unpleasant odour. This makes it ideal for wearing next to your skin where perspiration forms. So singlets and socks made from bamboo will stop that unpleasant sweaty odour and keep you feeling comfortable.

Many people look for cotton clothing to wear in the hot summer months. This is certainly cooler – depending on the weave – but cotton absorbs moisture and keeps it against your skin rather than wicking it away like bamboo does. In addition, it does not have quite the same smooth feeling as bamboo clothes do.

However, if you choose clothing items that are part cotton and part bamboo, you will get the best of both worlds; that smooth, soft feel along with a dry body so bacteria cannot thrive – and smell. It is ideal for socks and singlets and people that have worn the socks in hot conditions say that even after a week of wearing them without washing them, they still smell fresh. This will certainly save a lot of water!

If you wear such socks with cowboy boots you will find that your feet do not feet uncomfortably sweaty. In fact, such boots can even be worn when you go out on the town, not just to work. They look great when they have been cleaned up and they are comfortable too, even more so when teamed with bamboo socks. Sturdy footwear is needed in many occupations, so if you have one or two pairs of boots to protect your feet you will be ready for anything.

Hats are another important part of the dress code as they keep the sun out of your eyes as well as complementing your outfit. However, some features such as mesh sides and a cotton sweatband will ensure that your hat is even more comfortable to wear in the hot sun. The brim needs to be reinforced with wire so that it retains its shape more easily. They can be dressed up with a scarf or a woven leather hatband.

Once you go for comfortable clothing you will find the hot weather does not affect you nearly as much as it did when wearing man-made fabrics that do not breathe. They only make you feel hot and sweaty in the heat and cold in the cool weather as they have no thermal properties.
