Preferred Airports To Connect Through

By Expert Author: www.cheapfares.com

Cheap travel deals, such as cheap fares, cheap airplane tickets, discount hotel rooms, cheap auto rentals, discount travel packages, and cheap vacation specials, influence many people’s travel plans. Still, given that you often have a choice where you will connect when flying, it is useful to know some of the best airports in the world.

Layovers often used to mean hours of boredom, cramped seating and stale sandwiches. The bad news is that since airlines today fly larger planes and have reduced the number of flights, layovers typically are much longer. The good news is that select airports around the world have dramatically improved their services and amenities.

The following are highly recommended airports, according to Executive Travel:

• London Heathrow’s Terminal 5’s Heathrow Boutique offers complimentary personal shoppers. The terminal is home to an 11,000 square foot Harrods and a gallery showcasing sculptures of emerging British artists. There are 105 different restaurants to choose from, some quite high end.

• Amsterdam Schiphol Airport houses the world’s only museum to be annexed in an Airport. The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam is free and showcases paintings by Dutch masters such as Jan Steen and Ferdinand Bol. It is also where you can find the world’s first airport library, with print and e-tomes available in 29 languages. Free Wi-Fi, multiple spas, and showers at Departure Lounge 3’s Mercure hotel comes in handy. This airport even has a totally device free Silence Center.

• Munich International Airport is where travelers can sample some of the country’s best brews at Airbrau.
