Another cause for this problem could be a sudden load placed upon the back or a serious strain on the back that is rarely done. You can help your back be stronger and less injury prone by routine stretch activities. What will make matters even worse with a herniated disc is that it often results in various nerves being pinched.
You should never fool around with any kind of back discomfort because you can aggravate the condition. Unexpected pain that is acute in nature is critical and should be evaluated by a doctor right away. Keep away from doing anything that can aggravate the condition. Exercise proper lifting form even when doing simple chores around the house, as well.
