- Extensive smoking
- Men are twice more affected by this cancer than women so if you are a man then you are more likely to be affected with kidney cancer
- Being obese can be a reason for kidney cancer

There are several other factors like genetic condition or family history that can cause kidney cancer. Continuous exposure to chemicals like cadmium, organic solvent, asbestos or benzene can also lead to kidney cancer.
