A large number of restaurants now offer Persian food in San Francisco. Alborz and Kasra are two places that offer delightful Persian food. Alborz and Kasra are two other places that offer delightful Persian food in San Francisco, while Zare on Folsom Street, offers a blend of American, Italian, Spanish and Persian cuisine in its dishes. For example, its grilled squid and watermelon salad is not a dish that would ever be found in Iran, but its dusting of fine ground sumac is distinctly Persian.
