The Friday Freestyle

I have no idea what I am going to write here yet and what it is going to be about. Like the title suggests, this is a freestyle. While the whole idea of writing a freestyle post is, well, I needed another topic to discuss other than google+ tips and Lead generation challenges… So the Friday freestyle (which is written on a thursday, published on a friday just by the way… I know, controversy right?) is me freestyling about whatever I am freestyling about.
So my theme as of late has definitely moved towards Time Management and Business Automation… I recently got myself a VA, which is awesome and I am loving it right now. Word of advice… Don’t be shy… Arrange to chat to your VA over a Skype voice chat or a Google+ Hangout. It will help when it comes to explaining what is required of a certain task. Otherwise there could be a communication break down.
Lucky a slight misunderstanding was avoided with a call that took no more than 5 mins. Besides… It is actually a lot more personal to chat over the phone. It is great practice for when you start speaking with clients over the phone as well.
What else… ...
... Video marketing strategy is in play… Busy creating some really wonderful content if I don’t say so myself. This new plan of action and drive that I have is awesome. For the first time in my life I really know I am going to have a great year. My plans lead the way and bring a lot of clarity. Who knew… Well… Don’t answer that. ;)
A large part of this new drive has been the 100 Day Challenge… My first attempt at it, I was never really committed… I hadn’t faced my why I am in this and doing what I am doing head on yet… It was all just wondering around finding direction, not really understanding what it meant to take full responsibility… My recent trip to Canada to see my daughter smashed my eyes open to a reality that truly lay behind the picture. Wasn’t pretty and I decided it was time… I had to really start choosing myself, no more victim. So I pulled myself together, I thought back to times in my past where I really excelled, to a time I had pushed my limits and succeeded on the other end. I used those emotions and that knowledge to motivate myself and get Sh*&t done!! With the help of the 100 Day Challenge that guided me along, I was really making plans the right away and I was following through, taking action. I didn’t achieve every goal I set out to, for a few reasons… I over committed and never took into consideration the performance explosion I was setting myself up for, for one… I did manage a trip to Canada, a trip to CT to see my son, and attend my cousins wedding while finally spending a week with my parents in WIlderness South Africa… When I started the 100 Day Challenge… None of those achievements where guaranteed, they where all touch and go… My girlfriend and I watched the 100th day video in Wilderness at my parents house, a day or two after arriving there. Amazing lessons where learnt!! Needless to say when I returned I was so motivated and determined I also managed to get an app ready to be released to the App Store in about 2 weeks… With some challenges of course. Fired a designer and I had to part ways with a friend I had known for a long time. If I hadn’t done that, I would have never have reached my dream. Never mind the fact my app is still not in the App Store because of some technical issues… Third time lucky and I should get some awesome news saying it is accepted soon. I will let it be know, we had such an awesome time with the 100 Day Challenge we started the New Years 100 Day Challenge 2014 as well. This time a little more prepared than the last time so feeling even more confident this year is going to be a great year. Enrolment still open and you have a chance to join us… It is well worth it!!
Which brings me to the point of goals… Busy debating if I should share an awesome secret to getting your goals… It is actually not a secret at all, and if you look carefully you will find it, only thing not many goal achiever coaches will say it openly, or maybe they do and I haven’t heard it… 100 Day challenge taught it with out me really realising… Only after I had read another article or two about it, did it click for me… It all made sense. I have to be sure that you have chosen yourself though… Otherwise I am just going to be wasting my energy. So have you? Did you choose yourself for 2014?
What else is going on… New years was awesome… Decided to have a romantic night home alone with the girlfriend… Threw some pillows and blankets on the ground for a finger food in-house picnic. That was lots of fun, really didn’t feel like missioning around on the roads and all that. Next year however… Might be very different… I just thought about Spain. right… New Years in Spain is going to be pretty awesome!!
