Business owners having their enterprise mobile apps are all geared up to take over the world with this technology that could take any business straight into consumer's pockets. But as I have always said - modern-day customers are very impatient and choosey and it is very tough to attract them unless you have something very extraordinary in the offering. Technically, it is called user retention and in this post, I will talk about about few very simple steps to retain existing customers that means earn more revenues. Now let us get back to the topic. We all know that user retention is not a small topic to discuss so what I am going to do is to discuss few very simple things that business owners can do without any trouble whatsoever.

... surely move on. So, it is better that you keep adding new content to your app to keep inquisitiveness of your users alive. Develop your app's personality in such a way that users wait for its updates curiously. The example of Apple is the best in this reference. As soon as Apple announces its new device or whatever, the curiosity of Apple users gets unleashed to become a space shuttle. Actually, this should be the motive of every business owner about his app. This can be done in various ways but in any way and there are few things to take care of.

• Don’t refresh it too often as users would start taking your app and its updates for granted

• Use notifications wisely

Effective use of push notifications can soar your revenue quickly but unplanned and over used push notifications can decrease the number of app users. Many white papers available over the Internet describe the best way to deploy push notification in your business.

I would add one more approach to this. You should try to build a community of your app. The best way is to use your blogs and social media. There are definitely many benefits of community building approach and the biggest is that it gives you the smallest and the most straightforward way to connect to your clients outside the application. Using this community, you can keep your users updated about upcoming events, features, content on the app. If you are successful in that, customer retention would become even easier as there will be a completely different relationship between you and your clients.

Okay!! Grant me to add another method here very quickly. Business owners should take benefits of gaming dynamics and look to loosen the pressure over the app by including entertaining factors in it. This includes leader boards, achievements, accolades, badges etc. You can also present few challenges to the users that would help you in keeping your users engaged with your app. There are different toolsets available for if you are having enterprise mobile apps and the best is rewarding your users. The idea behind this to reward your users in lieu of being engaged with your app.
