It is here that the major problem arises; not knowing when you are stressed and when you are in need of a Stress Therapy. People, nowadays, have learnt to accept stress as a part of their lives. They feel it is a challenge to overcome stress. However, one needs to understand the thin line between pressure and stress. Pressure can bring out the best from you and make you realize what you are capable of achieving. Stress, on the other hand, will be accompanied by physical ailments, pain, loss of weight, loss of sleep and other such adverse changes. It will result in the absence of pleasure and relaxation due to which many individuals seek relief in drugs and alcohol. One needs to identify these signs within oneself or in others and immediately seek relief through Stress Therapy.
Basic Stress Therapy skills are very simple and most Stress Therapist will be able to guide you through a few stress relievers, which you can master very quickly. Stress has ill effects on our minds, our bodies and our emotions. Based on how we react to stressful situations, we can determine what Stress Therapy will work best for us. If a person gets angry or violent when stressed, then Stress Therapy techniques involving meditation and deep-breathing will provide you the much needed relaxation. On the other hand, if you tend to withdraw or get depressed in stressful situations, then Stress Therapy sessions involving rhythmic exercises will stimulate and energize your nervous system. No matter which Stress Therapy suits you most, meditation through deep breathing is a good starting point for gaining relief from stress.
Have you ever replied to an official email under a stressed condition, just to regret later that you shouldn't have done so? Yes, when you are stressed, your body's nervous system is thrown out of balance and certain chemicals are generated in your body which prepares you for a good fight or flight. While it's good in situations when you need to act quickly, it could be career threatening in the situation encountered above. In such situations, practicing the Stress Therapy technique of relaxation would be helpful.
Relaxation is not simply watching your television show or sleeping on the couch. Stress Therapy defines relaxation through deep-breathing meditation. It's a simple technique that requires just a few minutes of your time and a good place to relax. You need to breathe in deep from your abdomen, through your nose and exhale through your mouth. The idea is to inhale more oxygen which in turn reduces your tension and anxiousness.
Remember the Stress Therapy, before you vent out on your friends or loved ones. Stress can not only affect you, it can also affect your career and your relations.
