Total Articles: 161
Seeds are the sources of all life on earth. This is because without seeds there will be no plant. Without plants, there can be no animals. If anyone really considers the options carefully, he or she will realize that without the Heirloom seeds, the future generations can really not be protected. They must be shielded from all sorts of negative developments which have completely ruined the agricultural tracts of land in the past and in the present. We now have enough information how the world climate and natural biodiversity has been affected because of the harmful practices of using too much inorganic fertilizers and pesticides.
But most of the people of the earth are still not Non-gmo seed aware of these truths. One of the first and foremost tasks should be to inform them of the facts. The next step will be to show them the alternatives. This can be best done by actually doing something in practice than by simply talking about theory. The idea of prepper supplies for the future will be a very promising and revealing one at the same time. This is because the supplier will have to keep in mind that the future of the next generations depends on these. Therefore he will not be in a position to take matters lightly.
Basically, the Seed bank will contain the seeds of different kinds of foods that are generally eaten in the particular region. It is therefore impossible to draw a general formula for creating seed banks for each and every place. Of course, this much can be said that every place on this planet should look to create seed banks with the seeds of the most basic and staple diets. But the important thing to be achieved is the preservation of the knowledge of traditional and organic cultivation. This is because the seed banks will be required at a time when much destruction may already have been done.
It is already known that we may have gone past a point of no return. In other words, much of the damage that has been rendered to the natural order may not be undoable or reversible. However, we can henceforth try to minimize the damage. The first thing that we should do is to tell people that genetically modified means of developing food is not really sustainable. The major reason for that will be the lack of availability of the huge amounts of input materials, like the high volumes of water and the huge quantities of inorganic fertilizers, pesticides and other chemicals that are central to the mode of farming that everyone is used to at present in society.
But many people have already started trying out the alternatives like sowing . They are already gaining the benefits from these. They are more nutritious and they do not require such high inputs of materials as well. Here the profit of the entire community is kept in mind rather than the profit of some individual persons. The concept of Heirloom seeds is fast spreading on the internet as well and anyone can look that up.
