A couple pleasant and not very pleasant surprises, depending on who you like, were in store for all of us on "Dancing with the Stars results show. We saw a short return of David Hasselhoff, a family from Africa who love ballroom dancing, some cheesy infomercials and unpredictable results. The guests were none other than Jason and Shakira Derulo performing their latest hits. Jason Derulo also sang a classic made famous by Ray Charles. Now prepare for the news.
Lowest Scorers
Bristol Palin and Kyle Massey each had the lowest scores from Monday night. At first I thought this was too noticeable. No way are they going to have Bristol Palin be safe. Reality TV is really a funny thing. Both Bristol and Kyle were safe.
It has to have been a belated birthday gift for Bristol to remain another week. You know what they say about being careful for what you wish for, as you might get it. Bristol will need to learn two dances next week. She could barely stay informed about the steps in her gorilla suit routine.
Encore Dance - "Friends"
Naturally the judges picked the highest scoring dance of Monday night's performance ...
... show, which was none other Brandy's and Maksim's. They were just as contagious, exciting and fast-paced dancing to "I will Be There for You" from the TV show "Friends."
Bruno's Infomercial
In honor of the TV Theme Week they devoted time to a number of spoofs on those dreadfully produced and acted infomercials. Bruno and a couple of the professional dancers spoofed those plentiful workout DVDs you see advertised. This one was funny in parts, but stupid otherwise.
Jason Derulo -
He is making the rounds of all the top rated reality TV competition results shows. Jason Derulo was bound to appear on "Dancing with the Stars". It was merely an issue of time.

Here was another spoof about the countless ways you can use the foam rubber easy things to do in order to help you with your dance routine, along with bathing with these rubber contraptions as well as using them to serve salad with (yuck). This one was a lot more intelligent and creative. It was spot on with those easy products advertised that has so a lot more uses.
Second Results - Highest Scorers
Do not let these results fool you. Brandy and Maks were safe, but it was Derek and Jennifer who ended up in jeopardy.
Mwano Family in the Congo
All of them performed the ChaCha - Cha together with the pro dancers. You could see their mum was very touched. I have never seen anything like this on the results show. I expect they have more in the future.
We learned about a refugee family, the Mwano's, from the Congo in Africa who were in the audience. The movie we saw was about their plight in the Congo and eventually fleeing the nation after its civil unrest. Each one of the boys in the family want to dance and wanted to surprise their mother with performing on "Dancing with the Stars."
Third Results - Tied for Third Place
Both Rick Fox and Kurt Warner had a score of "24". It is really no surprise Kurt and Anna were safe with their adorable Quickstep to the "Theme from Bewitched." I was expecting to see this dance as the encore. However, Rick and Cheryl were in danger.
David Hasselhoff Infomercial
Out of the three infomercial spoofs "The Hoff" managed to pull off the best one of the bunch. He did a brilliant parody on those sleazy personal injury type lawyer ads you see frequently in your local TV commercials. Instead of PI or personal injury he spoofed dance injury while on "Dancing with the Stars." In case you got bad scores from the judges or have two left feet? No problem for David "The Sledgehammer" Hasselhoff.
Shakira - "Loca"
Naturally Shakira shaked her hips always to her latest hit song. If she did not shake those hips of hers it might not be Shakira.
Jason Derulo -
It was pleasant to determine a current recording artist pay tribute by singing a hit. Jason Derulo sang Ray Charles' "Georgia On My Mind."
Fourth Results
Florence and audrina was the last to find out their fates. It looked likely Florence would be in hazard and she was. Of course Audrina was safe for one more week.
Final Results
That left Rick, Jennifer and Florence for the final results. Jennifer was safe, but Florence was removed in the competition. You can hear the hopelessness and disappointment in the crowd's response. Sometimes you need to wonder about reality TV.
The couples will take on two dances for Rock and Roll Week next week. That leaves lucky seven couples left. I'm starting to like these theme weeks.
