The Different Kinds Of Additional Kia Car MaintenanceBy Expert Author: Shiv Sadhawani
A majority of car owners certainly pay quite a lot of attention when cleaning the exterior of their Kia Car, since the look of a vehicle is what signifies its appeal. Yet, a Kia vehicle which is merely looking good would not necessarily perform the same as well. For a Kia automobile to appear clean from all aspects and even have proper functionality, it is quite important to clean the vehicle from inside out. This would in fact therefore include quite a lot of additional Kia vehicle maintenance which car owners overlook.
Do not use strong soap, chemical detergents or hot water, and do not wash the Kia vehicle in direct sunlight or when the body of the Kia vehicle is warm. Do not wash the side windows too close with high pressure water. Water may leak through the windows and wet the interior. To prevent damage to the plastic parts, do not clean with chemical solvents or strong detergents.
This vehicle has new and unique surfaces on the center console and door pull finishers. If cleaning is required use mild soap and water. However if mild soap and water won’t clean the center console and door pull finishers, use Kia Vinyl and Leather Cleaner (or equivalent).
After washing the Kia vehicle, test the brakes while driving slowly to see if they have been affected by water. If braking performance is impaired, dry the brakes by applying them lightly while maintaining a slow forward speed.
Water washing in the engine compartment of the Kia vehicle including high pressure water washing may cause the failure of electrical circuits located in the engine compartment. Never allow water or other liquids come in contact with electrical/electronic components inside the vehicle as this may damage them. Wiping dust or dirt off the body with a dry cloth will scratch the finish.
ALUMINUM ALLOY WHEELS
Follow the directions below to avoid staining or discoloring the wheels of the Kia automobile:
Do not use a cleaner that uses strong acid or alkali contents to clean the Kia car wheels.
The aluminum Kia car wheels are coated with a clear protective finish.
Do not use any abrasive cleaner, polishing compound, solvent, or wire brushes on aluminum Kia car wheels. They may scratch or damage the finish.
Do not scrape or scratch the inside of the rear window. This may result in damage to the Kia car rear window defroster grid.
Never allow water or other liquids to come in contact with electronic components inside the Kia vehicle as this may damage them. For additional protection against rust and corrosion, which may be required in some areas, consult a Kia dealer.
Thus, when it comes to maintenance, it is quite important that the car owners thoroughly clean their Kia vehicles from top to bottom. Avoiding cleaning certain parts of a Kia vehicle would only deteriorate the condition of that portion and therefore affect the efficiency of the entire car. So, for a Kia vehicle to perform at its best, it must be entirely clean.
