An asthmatic shows symptoms like continuous coughing, sudden wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, difficulty in sleeping, headache, itchy throat, and many more. Many a times, an asthmatic is unable to sleep for the whole night because of the frequent coughing, and wheezing. However, asthma attack symptoms in children are quite different as compared to the adults. They may not show symptoms like wheezing or chest tightness, but there are the common ones like some allergies and coughs.
Innumerable factors can trigger the attack. In case a person with asthmatic condition is brought in contact with them, it can suddenly result in an asthma attack. Tobacco smoke, pet dander, extreme cold environment, perfumes or sprays, mosquito coils, pollens, dust mites and many more of such are called triggers, and should strictly be kept away from the patients of asthma.
Since ages, Ayurveda has always proven to be the most reliable remedy for almost any disorder or health problems. So, is the case with Asthma too, for which it prescribes Swaskuthar ras, the soothing Sitopaladi Choorna, and the efficient Vasavleha, which helps in controlling the asthma attack symptoms.
Children with asthma are advised by Ayurveda for mustard oil massages. Massaging warm mustard oil with light pressure all over your child’s chest can give him great comfort and lets him breathe easily. The effects are even more enhanced if a little camphor is mixed with the mustard oil.
Easy availability of honey and also its great effectiveness in controlling asthma have made it the most utilized remedy by the asthmatics. Ayurveda prescribes taking honey in a balanced proportion with dates, black raisins, Indian gooseberry, and even pippali. Soothing are the effects, and one can feel its control on asthma attack symptoms. Inhaling the air that is inside a jug of honey also has immense slackening effects for the patients.
