Disc profiles are created by answering a series of Disc questionnaire. There are around 24 questions in standard disc tests, each having four options from most likely to least likely. On the basis of the answers an analysis is made and the profile is generated. The in-house currency or the epic credits can be used to purchase everything disc provides like the disc sales or the DiSC Work of Leaders. There are chances of error in case of manual analysis, so it is advisable to use a computer to analyze the test.

Disc profile is a graph containing level of all the four personality traits that are judged in the test. There are two main regions of the graph viz. the dark region and the light region. If a trait is significant in any candidate then it will fall in the dark region or else it will be reflected in the light region.

By undergoing the disc training, you will not only receive the disc certification but also get the knowledge of creating the entire series of profiles. Henceforth you will be capable enough to create profiles pertaining to different aspects of the candidate’s personality. Some of the profiles that are available under DiSC Workplace can be summarized as below:

Internal profile: The behavior judged under this profile shows the capability of a person to work under a stressed situation and how the person handles his various social issues.

External profile: It is the opposite of internal profile. The behavior displayed in this profile is what the candidate thinks to be expected by others. This is the best behavior they can show.

Shift profile: In this test, the person is put under various different situations and his/her reactions are then analyzed. It basically looks for a change in the behavior of a person as they get into occasions with different situations.

Summary Profile: It is one of the most common profile series. It analyzes all the information collected from the questionnaire and provides a summary regarding the candidate’s personality. Although the profile is not much compared to the internal or the external profile but it can be a useful tool to get an overview of the candidate’s behavior.

With all these profiles available to a manager, he can work more efficiently and allot work to the employees as per their strengths. Thus having disc management in any business is far more effective than one can imagine!
