As this type of cattle cannot work on the pasture lands of Japan, the owners generally massage their muscles for prevention of loss of appetite and soreness. They also rub the skin with sake, which is a kind of rice wine with the belief that soft skin can produce more tender meat.

Now, you know what is Kobe beef. But, are you aware of an essential rule concerned about this meat and it is nothing, but the fact that Wagyu cattle should be massacred in the Kobe region of Japan. But, due to the lack of land available for growing the particular type of cattle, the beef growers of Japan has permitted a specific group of international farmers to raise this type of livestock in their native countries. However, the cattle should be transported to Kobe for converting into beef. This situation brought about a disagreement from beef sellers, who are not able to get this tender meat in their home nation.

Even though, Wagyu livestock can be seen wandering in the western part of the United States, they actually belong to the country of Japan. Even though, the hybrid of Wagyu and Amercian angus' beef can be procured legally, Kobe alternative can be procured only from Japan as it is not legally exported from this nation.
