Cataracts: Its Symptoms, Causes And Treatment

Cataract is one of the eye problems that can be easily treated. The type of treatment depends on the intensity of the problem, usually surgery is done for its removal. But with natural treatments also, one can get rid of cataract.
A lot of people suffer from cataract, it is basically a clouding of lens in your eyes. Cataracts can make seeing difficult, it makes your vision less clear than it should be. Cataracts grow very slowly. You might not notice a difference in your vision in the initial stage. But over time, your vision tends to blur. It occurs in both eyes. However, in most cases one eye is extremely affected as compared to the other. There are two types of cataracts: the most common type is the senile, in other words known as the age related cataract, and the other one is congenital, which is present at birth and is relatively rare but is very important to diagnose.
The most common symptoms that occur when cataracts begin to develop includes blurring of vision, difficulty in seeing in low light, seeing rainbow halos around lights and many others. In addition to this sensitive to sunlight and lamps, double vision and problem in identifying the shades of colors are also some of the indications to this disease.
The one main cause of cataracts is the exposure to sunlight, which is why many eye specialists suggest to wear sunglasses which protect the eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays. Other causes might be-
1.Trauma, eye injury
2.Surgery of an eye for some other eye problem
3.smoking or diabetes
4.Environmental factors such as smoke from factories and air pollution are also thought to be its primary causes
5.Long-term use of steroid tablets and excessive drinking habit
The condition of cataract is now prevalent especially in cases of elder people. While there is no cure for cataract and the only form of treatment is removal. whether surgery is required or not required completely depends on the severity of the vision loss. If you face problem in doing day-to-day activities, however your doctor will recommend surgery. With the help of modern techniques, trained surgeons and with micro surgical instruments cataract surgery is successfully performed and is one of the most successful operation today. Apart from surgical treatment for its removal some natural treatments for cataract are also there, which are as follows:
Having few cloves of garlic everyday in the morning will help. Garlic juice helps in getting rid of the blurred vision.
You can also apply the extract of pumpkin flower in your eyelids at least two times a day for 15 minutes. Your eyes are going to be revitalized with the extract or juice of pumpkin flower.
Eating vegetable salad is also very effective for treating cataracts.
