Christmas is not just a festival of celebrations it teaches us a lot. It is actually about love, care and bonding. For kids this time is even more special. For them it’s the day on which they can get the gifts they were longing for a long time. They put up their stockings pinned with their gift list that would be granted to them by the red bearded goofy man known as the Santa. They write those traditional beautiful letters to Santa demanding gifts they desire for. For them he is only man who can turn their wish true.
Children are really innocent as they don’t realize that such letters to Santa Claus are actually answered by their parents. But there are other kids too whose wishes remain unanswered as their families can’t afford the presents. For them it’s even a struggle to meet up their daily requirements. But don’t you think such kids also deserve a happier Christmas as your own? If you think the same then you can volunteer for the USPS operation letters to Santa Program. Under this program you can adopt any one of the million letters written by young ...
... children to the Santa that are received by the post department. You can return them back with the gifts that the kids have asked for. Children from such deprived families are not very extravagant, they have basic demands like toys, clothes or other basic items for their parents and siblings. It won’t pinch your pocket even a bit for paying for such items. The identification information of the kid is removed by the postal department for privacy concern and the gifts are mailed back.
Don’t you think that the real letters to Santa by such kids have an emotional connect? They too deserve the gifts. If you volunteer for such programs you would feel satisfied from inside such that you have done something good this Christmas. Other then this you can also donate through independent charities and NGO’s that work for children related programs.
If you are planning to adopt one of such letters then you can contact the nearest post office around your area for process. Other than that you can also search the internet about as there are many websites that provide information about participating postal offices. So let us make this Christmas a lot happier and special by spreading smiles across those innocent young kids.
