Components That Brings Success To Enterprise Mobile Apps

For business owners, irrespective of big or small, enterprise mobile apps have become a must have thing. I am not saying thing to allure consumers to get app developed by the app development company that I am working for. Rather, because mobile market is the hottest trend and even customers want you to contact them through their smart phones. This makes apps, the most essential part of any business operation. However, I have always wondered about the components that make an enterprise app get a foothold in the market. My app developer friends say that there are certain points that need to be taken into account in this context.

Do not try too hard – I have often seen business owners are very aggressive or enthusiastic about their enterprise mobility program. As a result, they come with a bizarre looking app with a number of functionalities and complex navigation. They should do a thorough market research and club the desire of being better than their competitors by offering more functions. As soon as they shun this scheme, better ideas would rush towards them and make them harness the real potential of their mobility project.

See consumer's expectations - You want to offer something different and better to your clients? The best way to know what is best is to read the reviews on your competitor's product. Note down what customers miss the most in their product. Moreover, do a market survey to find what the general public wants in your app and based on these studies; decide the functionalities you want to infuse in your enterprise app.

Forget your competitors during designing phase – You love the simplicity of one of your competitor's apps and vibrancy of the other? Well...include both in your one app. Though I advocated research about competitors above, it is equally important to lay stress on your personal preferences as well. At least in the designing phase, business owners should solely listen to their consumer's anticipation. Design your app in such a way that during the testing process, the tester comes across a brand new concept and a design.

Think about ads – No doubt, ads are the most practical way of earning from your app but business owners should think twice about introducing ads in their apps. They should place them in such a way that they don’t hinder any functionality of the app. Moreover, business owners should hand over the control to end users by giving them the option of switching these ads "off".

Keep your users engaged – The world of apps is very volatile and users have become very impatient these days. Even a small flaw in any functionality of the app would make them leave it. Business owners should include various features to entice new users. Moreover, they should also look to retain the existing customers by offering them goodies like discount coupons, in-app reward, honours, badges and physical rewards etc. They should also keep evolving their apps and new features, content and design to keep it fresh in customer's memory.

Test as a user – After your app is ready for release, the last step is to test it for flaws and blemishes. Remember not to test it as an owner because this way you will find it perfect from every aspect. Test it from the perspective of a user and look at its every aspect before releasing it in the app store.

Plan a promotional campaign – Apps would never work in a vacuum. They would require favourable environment, setup, infrastructure and above of all, a good amount of promotion. Regardless of the form of promotion, it has to be planned strategically. Business owners can spread the word about their app through their social media channels, emails, word-to-mouth, newspaper ads, news releases etc.
