The Introducing Cisco Voice and Unified Communications Administration Exam is a 60-70 question exam of 90 minute duration. The ICOMM, or Introducing Cisco Voice and Unified Communications Administration exam aims to test the candidate’s abilities and knowledge in regards to the Cisco Unified Communications solution.
The Cisco certified 640-461 exam is offered by Pearson VUE and is available in two languages: English and Japanese. Provision associated devices and end users:
The candidates must be inept in providing the description of Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express and Cisco Unified Communications Managers’ user creation options, in the creation and modification of end points, creation of user accounts, creation of endpoints using the GUI, describing call privileges, creation and modification of directory numbers, must be aware of all the user features, their application and verification.
Configuring presence and voice messaging:
The candidate must be able to describe the user creation options for voice messaging, to configure and describe Cisco Unified Presence, and must be aware of the user account creation and modification for Cisco Unity Connection.
Maintaining Cisco Unified Communications System
This deals with generating capacity, CDR and CMR, usage reports, knowledge of the generation of RTMT reports for the monitoring of system activities. Also, the awareness and usage of voicemail monitoring, deleting unassigned directory numbers is necessary. Furthermore, the applicant must be able to perform the manual system backup.
End user report
Knowledge of end report; description of causes and symptoms of call quality issues, troubleshoot issues, description of phone application usage, identifying of voicemail issues, resolving issues, description of fault domains, resetting single devices, and verifying PSTN connectivity.
