Getting a job offer from a renowned organization might give a reason to smile but you will certainly like to know how your new employer works, what his policies are, how he treats his employees and whether you will get conducive environment to improve your skills at the new place. Whether it is a new group or an old organization, companies reviews have information on all the groups.

What are these reviews about and who writes them? First thing is reliability. You will like to ascertain reliability of these assessments. The assessments are done by present and ex-employees hence reliable. There are websites that provide employees an opportunity to assess their employers. The employees rate their employers. For instance, you can assess your manager or boss and tell the world how professional or fool he is. But beware, you or any employee isn’t allowed to use the platforms for redressing personal grievances.

Employees rate their managers and not organizations but aggregate of managers from a specific firm makes an assessment of that firm. In this way, you can know how the firm that has extended you a job offer is working. You can know the managers you are going to report and once you know whether you are going to get a friendly manager or not, you can decide whether to join that firm.

Companies reviews are free. You can write a review on your present boss or a past manager at no cost. Also you can see assessments done by other employees without paying single penny. Read as many assessments as you want and know how the managers from different firms treat their juniors.

Find reviews written by the employees and ex-employees of the firm that you are considering joining. None other than a present employee can give a clear picture of the firm that has extended you a job offer. Advantage of companies reviews is that is they are authored by employees but their names are kept under veil. An employee can speak up to his mind about his employer only when the employee is certain that his identity won’t be revealed.

In this way, you can see that companies reviews do a service to the jobseekers and employees looking for new jobs. Instead of joining an unknown firm hoping best things, you should make sure that you are going to join a firm that provides ample opportunities to its employees to grow.
