Delhi To Manali Route

Manali, nestled in the green and hilly terrain of Himachal Pradesh is one place you can visit at any time of the year. Though, the fun you experience in summers will be completely different from that in the winter.Manali is well connected from Delhi- by airway, roadways and railways.

One of the best suggested routes includes an overnight halt at Ambala from where you will be taken to Kalka in the morning, from where you also have the option of enjoying the toy train ride to Shimla. After enjoying alunch in the mesmerizing surroundings of Shimla you will start for Manali. In the few days that you spend in Manali, the places you shall be taken to by the tour operator, depending upon the weather conditions, shall include Rohtang Pass- which is the highest Jeepable Road in the world. On the same day you can also visit Keylong and en route enjoy the hot water springs at Gurudwara. Another fascinating place to visit is the Naggar Castle, which has now been converted in to a luxury resort and is run by HPTDC. If you are an art lover, the Roerich Art Gallery should interest you.

There are various routes you can take if you are traveling to Manali by road. One of the shortest routes suggested by the travellers is via Kharar then to Banur which directly leads to the National Highway Number 21 (NH 21). This route, though not one withvery good roads, reduces the distance as it bypasses Chandigarh and directly takes you to the National Highway.
