You are not going to get six pack abs by only doing crunches. Abdominal exercises do strengthen your muscles; however, they don't burn belly fat. If you want a 6 pack you need to lose weight by doing a lot of cardiovascular exercises and perhaps some resistance exercises.
Not everyone has a lot of time that they can devote to exercise. You can cut your workout into smaller increments. You are not adding to the amount of time for your workout; you are simply breaking it in half. Just workout a 1/2 an hour during the day and a 1/2 an hour at night. If you cringe at the thought of visiting the gym two times daily, do it only once and get your other exercise outdoors.
Remember to tighten your glutes each time you do a rep of a weight-lifting exercise involving lifting weights over your head. This gives the buttocks a great workout in addition to reducing the risk of hurting yourself by being in a bad position. Another benefit of this move is its ability to stabilize your spine.
Do you find chin-ups difficult? If you put yourself in the right frame of mind, you can make them seem easier. Rather than imagining yourself pulling up, visualize yourself pushing your elbows down. By tricking your mind it will make a difficult fitness activity much simpler.
To increase muscle mass, try doing a larger number of reps at a lighter weight. This works better than fewer reps at a heavier weight. It may seem like the ability to lift more is most important, but the goal is to see who can go longest without needing to give up. Many big lifters follow this strategy, and it works for them.
Test out a bench prior to working out on it. Using your thumb, press into the seat to check the padding. If you feel wood or metal, find another weight bench.
Divide your running course into three phases. Start slowly, and increase your pace until you reach your regular speed. During the last third of your run, go faster than your normal pace. This pattern improves endurance and total distance over time.
If you are aiming to increase your speed and endurance, you must train like a Kenyan would train. This training process begins slowly and then increases the level of intensity. Then increase your pace gradually. During the middle third, you should be running at a normal pace. By the end of that run, you should have picked up the speed. If you practice this you will build the amount of distance and speed.
It is not necessary for your fitness routine to feel like torture. It should be easy for you to add these techniques to your daily schedule. Staying fit takes a lot of work, but it's worth it because you will be strong, flexible, healthy and you will also achieve an attractive body. Keep these ideas in mind if you want to maintain a proper level of fitness.
