How Significant Are Christian Wedding Invitations?
Total Articles: 47
When we talk of wedding cards, then the highest emphasis is placed on weddings involving Hindus or South Indians or Sikhs or Muslims. There is this notion that Christians are not very finicky about the invites and Christian wedding invitations do not need to follow any major line of tradition or rite. Though it is true that the Christian cards are not littered with dogmatic principles and are unencumbered by any traditional fetter, they are still quite significant.
This community takes pleasure in harmony and closeness. If one looks through a discerning pair of eyes, then he shall discover that Christian weddings are far more intimate affairs than Hindu marriages. While it is true that a Hindu marriage is a lot more ostentatious and grand, it certainly lacks the element of intimacy which is observed in a Christian ceremony. The Christians usually have a small guest list. This is because they, by nature, prefer to have more personal weddings wherein only the close friends and family members are present. Even though this number can touch a high figure, it is usually a lot lower than a traditional Hindu marriage.
This increased level of intimacy makes Christian wedding invitations all the more important. There is this need to deliver emotions through them. The cards, therefore, are warmly worded and the emphasis is usually more on the words than on anything else. This community also prefers to take an unconventional path and the cards are usually complemented with a small gift. The gift can be a small chocolate or an album or anything which signifies affection or love. The gift is not mandatory but has become a norm with most families. The choice of card and gift is in the hands of the family and each can make a choice as per his budget and tastes. So, the designers offering these invitations have to be ready with a heady stock of gifts which are favored by most families. Chocolates and flowers are favored by many though gift baskets and souvenirs are also getting greater attention these days.
The significance of wedding cards is one and the same for all religions and communities. Any card which has an offensive tone or lacks that required warmth won’t go down too well with the receiver. The card is like that messenger which delivers good news in the official capacity. So, it must have the cheerfulness which is expected out of it. Sorrowful colors or doleful designs are therefore strictly unadvisable. Most designers are well prepared to handle custom requests as well and can even string up cards for multifaith weddings.
In order to find a good collection of Christian wedding invitations, it is recommended to look at websites which promises quick delivery and offers low rates.
