Normal aging can cause deterioration to the skin. But, now people need not worry about the persistent devastation of the skin because there are many ways to ensure that one age gracefully and actually look more years younger than the actual age. A way to keep your skin from aging is by using retinol, vitamin A. This vitamin is found in some foods we eat but, it’s very effective in protecting our skin from aging. Therefore, eating foods rich in vitamin A can enable you to naturally save your skin from wrinkles. Some foods containing anti-aging effect include;

1. Carrots and tomatoes
These two vegetables contain betacarotene that is converted to vitamin after digestion. It stimulates skin cell growth and formation of collagen which is the structural protein responsible for skin elasticity. Betacarotene is also a good anti-aging food because they block antioxidants that lead to premature aging of the skin and wrinkles.
2. Citrus fruits
Citrus fruits include lemons and limes which are good antioxidants and highly help the skin against aging. Collagen production is also triggered by vitamin C just like vitamin A and that too protects the skin from aging.
3. Hazelnuts and brazilnuts
These nuts contain the essential fatty acids that act as a support to the fatty acids that are already naturally present in the skin. These essential fatty acids are responsible for the formation of collagen and they also moisturize the skin promoting its elasticity and end up with a firm skin. The anti-inflammatory characteristic of the nuts help the skin to stay smooth and pimple-free.
4. Avocado
Avocados are also rich in vitamin C which is an anti-aginganti-oxidant. They contain essential fatty acids which are building blocks for collagen. They can be applied externally too to the skin to treat the dry skin by nourishing it and moisturizing it.
5. Strawberries
They too contain vitamin C and collagen formation for the growth of new skin cells.
6. Olive oil

Olive oil is rich in antioxidants which protect the skin from contaminants. It also fights the oxidizing impact of the sun on the skin which triggers the skin cells to die and leave the skin thinner hence leading to early aging. Virgin oil application on the skin after exposure to sun helps prevent the damage to the skin.
Other ways of preventing premature aging is to avoid smoking. Evidence has shown that smokers get early wrinkles than those people who don’t smoke. This is because smoking stops the absorption of vitamin in the skin.

Keeping away from direct sun is also a good way of preventing premature aging. Direct sun exposure causes breakdown of collagen which in turn speeds up the wrinkle formation.

Drinking plenty of water also helpspreventprematureaging as it keeps the body hydrated and helps in skin cell formation.
Exercising the body also speeds up the process of skin renewal as it promotes blood and nutrients flow to the skin’s surface. This leads to a fresher and younger looking skin..
