Basics Of Continuous Filter Belts
Total Articles: 72
Different industries have different processes that involve the raw materials going through machines and tools that refine them and forward them for further processing. These machines have filters that refine the components in the raw materials to separate unwanted impurities from the material mix. Among filters are various types, one of which is the Continuous filter belts.
Used in the filtration processes of liquids, continuous filter belt is a kind of a mesh. For instance, a continuous filter belt is used in industries to screen and filter foreign particles from molten plastic. Normally, these belts are available in rolls measuring 10 meters in length and the width is customized according to the requirement of the extruder in the machine.
The machine that uses continuous filter belts is called continuous belt filter, and is operated through the hydrostatic energy. The quality of stainless steel used in the continuous filter belt is 304 High Tensile Stainless Steel.
How the cleaning process works through a filter belt?
Continuous filter belt is tailored as per the individual application requirements and is made of stainless steel. The transportation of the belt is controlled by a float switch and is fed into the water chamber from the bottom of the dirt tank along with the filter cake. The process of filtration is performed on an inclined plane; the initial and actual work is being done on the lower-most part of the belt, while post-dewatering the process takes place in the upper part of the belt. The filter belt along with the filter cake is heaved upwards for the cake to be stripped off. The continuous filter belt is then cleaned by a roller brush and a special rinsing device, dedicatedly made for the filter belt.
Usage of continuous filter belts
Continuous belt filters are used in various industries including recycling sectors; food and beverages sectors; and wastage, landfill and street-cleaning industries. For instance, these filter elements are used for prolonged treatment of degreasing baths and cooling lubricants; for filtration processes of fish ponds, effluent waters, wash waters, and other processed waters.
Benefits of Continuous Filter Belts
Among various plus points of using continuous filter belts for filtration processes involving liquids. These plus points can help you in finding the best possible use of these continuous filter belts. Here are a few plus points:
Because of the fact that these belts are supplied from below the dirt tank, most amount of residue available in the liquid is taken away at first. The use of swindle is done properly as the floatation tailing extraction of residues along with foreign impurities is discarded and accumulates on a dedicated side. As the filter cake is stripped off, there is very less consumption during the process. These filter belts are made of stainless steel and so, long life and durability is definite. These filters are small, user-friendly and easily cleanable & can be rinsed by regular fresh water.
Mostly because of the user-friendliness and the ease of operation, continuous filter belts are preferred by major industries globally, for specific liquid filtration applications.
