Noone will admit to weight loss being an easy task. We would have fewer instances of overweight people if losing the weight was easy. In fact it really is hard work! While some people are able to handle it by themselves with simple diet and exercise regulation, other people need the help that comes from weight loss programs. Of course not all of these programs are the same. Some can be really bad for you. Some can be really good for you! So, Which programs are worth your time? You have probably always thought of Slim Fast as just a diet drink, this is no longer the case, Slim Fast has become it's own full weight loss program.



In the US at least the Slim Fast slogan has taken the population by storm with it's catchy weight loss idea of a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch and a sensible dinner. You may think this is a good idea but we disagree with the replacing of meals with a shake even though many claim it works. This program has been expanded now to include food and snack bars too.



Another one is the Perricone Prescription. Due to some recent criticism, this diet is not as popular as it once was. This particular weight loss program is actually based on keeping the skin healthy and young looking. Instead of being a weight loss program it is commonly referred to as the4 "anti-wrinkle" diet. At the same time, the idea that some foods contribute to things like water retention is not far off from the idea that some foods cause you to gain more weight than others. If interested in this program, be sure to talk to your doctor before starting it.



The Mediterranean Diet is rarely found at at the top of any lists like other weight loss programs. Even though, it is still pretty popular. The diet plan is based around the diet that is popular in lower Western Europe-Greece and other countries around the Mediterranean Sea. People from these areas have similar diets and appear to be thinner and healthier than most in the western world, so this diet assumes they have the right combination. You can even keep eating all your favorite foods on this diet. Losing weight can be very difficult. Some can do it simply by exercising and eating right. While there are others who need more structure to get to their goal weight. Your doctor is really the only person who can help you decide which program is right for you. Your medical professional will understand your healthcare needs throughout the process and be able to recommend a program that is right for you. It is your responsibility to talk to your doctor to get help deciding which program might work for you. You will lose that weight and begin to feel like a new healthy you!
