Excellent Tips In Creating The Article Body
Total Articles: 34
You must be very familiar with the phrase "content is king." You can see it everywhere on sites where you search about how to write an article. You stumble upon this most widely spread Internet Meme as you go ahead looking for tips. In all the searches, you find them, reminding you how to create an article body that will satisfy your readers.
By content, we mean a well-organized argument, using simple and understandable language and grammatically correct sentences. It is putting of closely related ideas together, and giving examples and other details that will make difficult concepts more comprehensible. It can show authoritative resources used to support the argument.
You are always encouraged to consider the readers seriously. You think about them from the time you decide the most important part, the article title, and in creating the exciting lead, until you bring them to the article body, where you clarify and support your piece with valuable content, which you do in several short paragraphs.
These paragraphs between the opening and the closing paragraph, are concise words you build into brief sentences, and they should make strong points in assembling the details. It is here where you deliver what you have promised on the title and in the introductory paragraph. Use a language that people can understand, and more importantly, take an extra concern with your grammar and spelling of words. Errors in spelling will suggest to the readers that the writer is thoughtless. Grammatical mistakes may even imply a worse scenario, and that is, the writer is not only careless of doing his thing but is ignorant as well.
Here are tips, the things you should do to make the body of your article very appealing and convincing to the readers:
Make your content relevant
Whatever you are writing, it has to make sense and correlates to the article title. Write for meaning.
Write using an Active Voice
You should leave no room for the readers to doubt who did what in the sentence, and to whom. Use of active voice is clear and directly pinpoints the subject or the actor in the sentence you have constructed.
Active: Maria's violent reaction in the venue yesterday was the highlights of today's forum.
Passive: At the venue yesterday, Mariahas reacted violently and was highlighted in the forum.
Warm up your audience in your opening paragraph before bringing them to your article body.
From the lead paragraph, the reader must have already been briefly informed what the article is about, developing his interest and his attention being intrigued, to get him to continue reading on to your arguments at hand.
Be grammatically conscious.
Grammatical errors and misspelled words are great mood switchers. No reader would want to go ahead reading an article full of typos and errors. This will put your credibility down and make your entire article worthless.
Keep your piece flow freely using transitional words, especially from one paragraph to another.
The use of transitional words contributes to greater unity or cohesion between sentences or paragraphs. It expresses a logical connection between texts. Your article will show a very disorganized writer without it, and this will definitely mislead your readers. Proper usage of these words and phrases will give finer organization of your article body that will in turn lead to better understanding and enjoyment of the readers.
If possible, stick to one thought per sentence and one idea per paragraph.
Too much information placed in one sentence or in a paragraph is not a guarantee to make your readers want to continue to the next paragraph. In fact, it can turn off their interest in reading. Overloading too many ideas in one single sentence or paragraph may cause your reader's blood to drain and suffer cardiac arrest! You just have to tell the most important information in a simple and clear way, and that's it!
Read the works of successful authors and show in your writing their style, if you like it.
I am not worming your way in copying and plagiarizing. These are the mortal sins of writing. What I am saying here is to see how successful authors tell their stories, study their style, their word choice. You can reflect on each and analyze the benefits of adopting one for yourself.
Give examples and details to clarify further your point using subhead, bullets or numbers in bold or italic characters.
Bullets and numbers, italicize characters and bold letters will help you stress your important points. It becomes easier for the readers to find what they needed to know about certain topics.
Give authoritative resources
Your resource box helps build up your credibility and ability. It increases the readers' desire to visit your site trusting to find more valuable information from you.
Be organized, putting closely related ideas together, side-by-side with your evidence.
This is a process of sorting ideas and discarding or sharpening other thoughts to make it more understandable to the readers.
Reread what you have written, edit and if necessary, make revisions. Revising is preferably done after leaving behind your work in a day or two breaks from doing writing jobs.
Even the most experienced of writers review their works before publishing them. No one can claim perfection during the first round of writing. Taking a break and reviewing it later can give you a fresh look of your article and inspire you to improve or make the necessary changes.
These are tips that will give you an edge over them who plainly write without directions. More tips will be coming your way as to the things a writer should avoid when creating the body of the article. Adding them to these great tips, will give you a chance to win a reward in an article writing contest, when followed.
