Springs are quite important and are applied in Industrial robots, door locks and perambulators. These are used mostly in industrial equipments. Many companies are manufacturing these types of springs across the globe. These springs are having great demand in the market.
Types of springs and their applications
Different types of springs that are available mostly in the market include compression springs, tension springs, torsion springs, disc springs, air springs, volute springs, barrel springs, Phosphorus Bronze Spring, irrigation springs, spiral springs, flat wire springs, die springs, wire forms, wave spring washers etc.
Tension spring is also called as extension spring. These springs are made using high quality steel. These are durable, strong and are economical. There are many companies worldwide who are manufacturing these types of springs as per the customer requirements. They make the springs out of steel in the form of wire with diameter in the range of 0.15 to 60 mm. These springs are attached to both ends of the components. When the component ends move away from each other this spring helps them to bring together. They can store energy in them. They are tightly wound when there is no load on these springs. These springs have eyes, hooks at the end for attaching the components that are connected to it.

Torsion spring is referred to as helical a spring which exerts a torque or rotary force when embedded in the equipment. These springs are attached to other components. Whenever the component rotates around the center of the spring, this torsion spring directly pushes them back to their normal place. Though the name of these springs indicates torsion but these are subjected to bending stress instead of torsion stress.

• Spring steel in the form of wire with a diameter ranging from 0.15 to 60 mm
• Square wire is used of 20mm wire diameter
• Stainless steel ranges from 0.15 to 60 mm wire diameter
• The material can be modified as per the customer requirement

Compression springs are made of spring steel, stainless steel or as per the customer requirements. The wire diameter for making these springs ranges from 0.15 to 90 mm for spring steel and it changes depending on the material used. After applying load on to these springs they get compressed. It pushes the load back and comes to the normal position. These have high energy storage capability compared to other springs. These are applied in various equipments such as medical devices, instruments, electronic devices, cell phones etc.
