Watt (Temple) Pho is one of the oldest and largest temple complexes in Thailand and the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. It is approximately D,OOO square meters and here you can find over a thousand Buddha images including the largest single Buddha, the Reclining Buddha which is loft in length.
The extravagant Grande Palace is made up of numerous buildings and was once the official home of the Kings of Siam which is within walking distance of many of the hotels. Also within walking distance of hotels in the area are other significant sites including the Emerald Buddha, the Marble Temple, the National Museum and the mighty Chao Phraya River which are all must see attractions during your stay in Thailand. And all are located a short walk from most hotels in the area in and around Khao San Road.
