If you successfully pass this examination you will become Certified Medical Transcriptionist, which would help you immensely in finding a better job.

Speaking about the economics of medical transcription jobs, mostly transcriptionists get paid on an hourly basis. This means that the amount of money you earn will be directly proportional to the number of hours you work. The location of a transcriptionist, his familiarity with medical terminologies, English fluency, his total experience in transcription and the type of lab, hospital or medical facility he works in, determines the amount of money he can make per hour. An average medical transcriptionist can earn around $15 an hour to $20 an hour.
