The Power Of Article Marketing To Boost Traffic To Your Site And Blog

Recently I won a contest in France. With 10 other bloggers we were asked to write an article with this premise: "Give an original idea that would guarantee more traffic on a blog." Here is the translation of the French article I wrote so hopefully you can take advantage of the information as well:
As a networking professional and entrepreneur I am constantly looking for innovative ideas to attract traffic to my websites or blogs. For this article, I searched back into my knowledge and personal experience, did research on the internet, and each avenue I tried I came to the same conclusion. One of the most overlooked techniques of generating traffic to websites and blogs is article marketing. This may not be the most innovative idea, but it is certainly one of the most effective, not only for me but for most of my mentors and successful entrepreneurs I know.
Writing and then marketing articles is effective, not only does it allow you to post articles directly onto your blog, but you can reuse these articles on numbers of other websites, blogs and article directories (the majority of which are free). Even after extending those sites, you can post to social media sites, offer an exchange of articles with other people in your field. Always make sure to include a "resource box" (a description of you and your business) on your site and add a link to your blog on each and every article. Just think about how many people will be able to direct link to your website or blog, the exposure is phenomenal.
If you post on sites with high traffic you will increase your ranking, bringing you and your business to the forefront. By posting articles in directories, you can authorize others to republish your articles, which will expose you to their target lists. It's surprising where your articles wind up, even in different countries all over the world.
Thanks to the publication of my articles on various sites, in the past, I had been contacted by magazines in the United States and Canada, who wanted to republish my articles in magazines. I went from online traffic to offline traffic and due to the high volume of readers of these magazines. Not only did a lot of new contacts visit my site, but I gained credibility and recognition as an expert in my field of networking and social media. Just 5 years ago a publisher from India used some of my articles for a compilation to publish a book about marketing strategies. At the time I never thought of anyone in India reading my articles, let alone wanting to publish them!
What surprised me most was the conversion rate of article readers to loyal purchasers of my books and programs. Of course the ultimate goal is always to turn developing traffic into sales, but I had no idea how much writing articles would contribute to my success.
Writing just one or two articles a month doesn't get you much traffic. In fact, two years ago, I met a coach that published, not one or two articles per week, but 500 per month. Yes, you read it correctly - 500 articles per month! I was so intrigued by this that I had to work with him for a few months to learn more. And I discovered a whole new world, where you can pay people $2 to $5 per article to write for you. That means for a monthly budget of $1,000 this coach was paying people to write for him and then earning an income of $15,000-$20,000 per month. Instead of spending hours writing himself, he delegated to a few people so that he could concentrate on his coaching services and work with more clients, making him more money and saving precious time. Article marketing was his only source of traffic, his only source of reaching out to new contacts to invite them to his blog and website to convert them to clients.
Of course, you do not need to write 500 articles a month to see results. But the idea of delegating the writing of your articles can allow you to save time allowing you more time to deal with clients. Imagine, with only $60 or $100 per month, you can publish one article a day. Over the month that is an average of 30 articles which can be republished by tens or hundreds of other websites, magazines, journals, blogs. Of course, the sites on which you published, will be linked to your target audience, to ensure targeted leads and therefore qualified prospects ready to buy your products or services.
I know, some people will say that they want original content only to get a better ranking on search engines. I would say "What do you prefer?" Taking months or even years to be first on Google, or get traffic with immediate visibility thanks to being republished on hundreds of websites, and win new clients every day to grow your income?
This technique has been proven by many successful entrepreneurs and bloggers, so why reinvent the wheel? Use effective methods from others and adapt them to your business. In other words, save time, make money and reap success.
