Every year, many men go for Gynecomastia surgery so as to reduce the level of fats on the body chest. And despite the fact that many people consider it as a normal surgical procedure, there are many risks which are involved. Therefore, an extra care precaution should be taken into account before someone is subjected to it.
1) Asymmetry between two sides of your chest
The first risk when you go for gynecomastia is that each side of your chest will be treated separately. In case there is any mistake made during the surgical process with just a small miscalculation, each side of your chest will appear differently. This can be with one of the side being smaller than the other. You may also find that your nipples are at different levels. This just resembles a woman with different breast size. As a result it may make you uncomfortable than you were before with your man boobs.
Gynecomastia surgery may also need the removal of some tissues and skin. If this is done during the surgical process, the patient will remain with scars across his chest. If the tissue and skin removal are very minimal, then the scar might not be visible completely. However, if the skin and tissue removed are excess then a nasty scar might remain.
3) Contour Deformities
There are also other deformities which might appear in your chest during the recovery period. These may include wrinkles, dents, bumps and other contour deformities. You should also be aware that in case of such deformities, an additional surgery may be needed. This may be a risky process to go through but for a better recovery, you should go for it.
During gyencomastia surgery, discoloration and dark spots may occur from liposuction. There are some discolorations which are temporary however there are some which may be permanent.
