Ccs Presentation Systems Wins Best Installs Award At Infocomm 2013

It was so exciting for CCS Presentation Systems to have won the Commercial Integrator Best Installs of 2013 award recently at InfoComm 2013. CCS’s work in helping to transform the Bingo Hall at Casino Arizona in Scottsdale, AZ was recognized by judges and peers for a winning prize in the Casino Integration Category.

In commercial integration, collaboration among teams is especially important in creating a winning project. That’s what our head engineer Rod Andrewson emphasized to Commercial Integrator magazine when he spoke to the magazine about the award for the audio-visual solution we brought to Casino Arizona’s Bingo Hall.

“Rod Andrewson, head engineer at CCS, says it was imperative that construction firm Kitchell Corporation, Seaver Franks Architects and CCS collaborate on the design-build project from the get-go. “Without that early interaction, we wouldn’t have been able to come through on many of the components of the project,” Andrewson says. “Four one-ton lifts on pulleys lower and raise the scoreboard when it’s not in use. ... so the cables don’t twist in place, but there was a lot of careful planning that went into this project way ahead of time.”

Our team faced a number of hurdles at the Casino, which hosts a L8 Nite Bingo from midnight to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights, heightening the experience for visitors to the Bingo Hall. There are black lights installed and special effects lights brought in to bring more of a party atmosphere to the hall after the bingo stops, bringing a DJ element into the mix, as well.

As Rod detailed, it also became a time-consuming process with the large number of displays that make up each video wall. The team had to get the displays up, while they were in awkward positions. CCS used two installers for this portion of the job and an NEC-supplied calibration tool. The CCS install team found the way to not only make it work, but to make a very happy Casino Arizona Bingo Hall crowd happy.

Also very noteworthy is that CCS Manufacturing Partner Crestron won eight industry awards at InfoComm 2013!

Crestron won a total of eight industry awards overall, and was named Favorite Control System Manufacturer by the rAVe Readers’ Choice Awards.

Crestron Enterprise Building Management solutions and vendor services were the preferred choice of discerning judges at InfoComm, which included end users, integrators, trade publications, and other industry experts.
