Total Articles: 35
Become your own king or queen in the business of writing
The concept of writing has become immensely popular both as a hobby and as a full-time career as well. One of the main reasons for this tremendous increase in the number of people taking up writing is the sheer number of growth opportunities that are available thanks to the continuous demand for quality content for books, websites, magazines, newspapers, etc. Moreover, writing is also a type of therapy which soothes the mind and completely relaxes the writer. It is one of those very few mediums which allow the writers to interact with their subconscious minds, delve deep within themselves, pen their thoughts on paper and get paid for it while one is at it. Being a writer also has innumerable advantages.
Enjoy flexible schedules and control your own future.
The first aspect of being a writer is that one can enjoy an extremely flexible schedule and control their own futures. Once a person takes up writing, they are no longer slaves of time and do not need to peek at the stock markets every now and then bracing themselves for the next collapse. Moreover, writing is the sort of enterprise which is here to stay and once a writer has received recognition, stock market collapses, economic turmoils and financial downturns may slow down his income, but shall definitely not affect it.
Stare at your computer screens, sip on coffee and get paid
Let's face it. Which other business or profession would pay one handsomely for sitting on the computer table with the legs rested on the chair, sipping coffee and typing into the computer. The writing business allows one to live life the king size once they develop a niche for themselves. All one needs to do for inspiration is take a peek into the lives of the great writers such as J.K. Rowling.
Sip cocktails, travel to exotic locations and still be able to write off the expenses for taxes
Another benefit, well not really a benefit, of being a writer is the power to be able to travel the world, enjoy yourself and still be allowed to write off your expenses from your taxable incomes.
Work on your own terms and set your own pace
Writing also allows one to set their own terms of work and the pace in which they want to get the job done. Such is the flexibility provided in the profession, that the writer keeps his/ her own timetable and is not bound by anyone. The writer can choose to work during the day or during the night, at home or in the parks, at a proper workplace or right from their beds. No other profession would allow one such comfort or ease and still pay them handsomely.
Writing allows one to specialize in their particular niche and take orders accordingly rather than having to work according to the terms or subjects provided by a client
A writer can choose to excel in a subject of their liking and develop their own niche in the area. For example, a writer may choose to indulge in Copywriting and enhance skills which pertain only to Copywriting. Similarly, another writer may prefer to write stories and novels and may specialize only in creative writing.
Finally, the best part of being a writer is the unsurpassed and unparalleled lifestyle which comes with being a writer.
